A Gleaming in the Darkness
The story takes beat in expanding early eld of 1890s through 1940s. During the embarking years of the 20th century which brought find of many scientific investigations to flavor from knowledge domain renowned scientist like Albert Einstein, Marie curie, and Ida B. Wells. Also at a time in the world that war was going on in Europe which caused others elsewhere to focus on the trouble of man War I & II. Marie Bonvin is narrating the story. She was the housekeeper of the old abandon babys room building that Monsieur & Madame Curie were using for their experiments. She tells the story from her sick slam in the hospital in France, which is considered one of the best in Europe. She gives detailed encounters that she has with Madame Marie from when she first started her experiment through the discovery and fame, and until her amiss(p) death.
The scientific connection in this story is that the glow or star like substance that was in the jars in the lab were developed to be useful for many things in the world. The discovery of the element radium was used for many honorable and vainglorious things that help shape the world.
Radium was formerly used in self-luminous paints for watches, nuclear panels, aircraft switches, clocks, and instrument dials. X-Rays & radiology helped redefine the health world by allowing Physicians to have a better look of the charitable body, and making sure patients have a pain go off experience through radiation therapy. But with the discovery of something good theres always a bad use for it and that was proven with the guile of the Atomic Bomb. The element radium was used during World War II in the attack on lacquer which caused peoples mindset on how to use a weapon of chaw destruction in a more proactive way.
