The USA PATRIOT Act (Uniting (and) Strengthening America (by) Providing arrogate Tools Required (to) Intercept (and) Obstruct Terrorism Act) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_PATRIOT_Act , enacted by congress on October 26th 2001 by Congress and gestural into law by President George W. Bush is an unnecessary violations of our thoroughgoing rights, namely, the following amendments:
1st Amendment: Freedom of press, expression, religion
4th Amendment: Search and Seizure
fifth Amendment: Trial and Punishment, Compensation for Takings
6th Amendment: Right to Speedy Trial, opposite of Witnesses

The Patriot Act is unconstitutional because it directly and indirectly violates our rights as citizens of the United States by usurping the power of the US piece and its ratified amendments in favor of unchecked intrusions of privacy perpetrated by law enforcement and other governing officials in the interest of preventing terrorism.
Examining and evaluating the USA PATRIOT Act is valuable because, as citizens of a egalitarian nation with a constitution, it is our responsibility to maintain a relief between governmental power and the power of the people.



As citizens, our single power comes from those rights granted to us by the constitution. Some of our most cherished rights, rights not enjoyed by every country in the world, such as the right to free speech, freedom from wrong search and seizure, and the right to a speedy trial by a jury of our peers and the ability to confront our accusers are perilously limited and modified by the USA PATRIOT act.
