Abstract
In response to Lynn colours thesis that Judeo-Christian theology, specifically in its mandate to take for dominion over the earth has influenced ghostly people to evil the environment, this study was designed to measure if such a human alliance exists. A Demographic and Environmental survey were the excessivelyls used to store up participant data. Consistent with other studies, this study found that religious affiliation does not have a significant ill impact on individual stewardship of the environment. If there is a relationship to be found between devotion and Whites proposed ecological crisis perhaps it may be discovered within religious denominational distinctions. Until further extensive research is conducted, religion is only a weak predictor of environmental abuses.

The majority of research available pertaining to the relationship between religious orientation and environmental attitudes is greatly inspired by Lynn Whites essay, The Historical Roots of Our Ecological Crisis, published in 1967.
White (1967) proposes that a Judeo/Christian worldview results in an irresponsible ecological attitude leading to the exploitation of nature and natures resources. He further states, that in its western form, Christianity is the most anthropocentric religion the world has seen (White, 1967). White specifically tar contains the biblical article of belief of dominion found in Genesis 1: 26, 28, which he claims sanctions environmentally destructive behavior under the auspices that graven image gave man dominion over the earth to fill and master it (Ruether, 2003).
